What is Latisse?
Latisse is an FDA-approved treatment for the growth of fuller, longer eyelashes. Latisse is simply applied to the upper lash line using applicators. Results should begin to show after four weeks of use, with full results visible at 16 weeks.
If you discontinue the use of Latisse, your eyelashes will simply return to their natural state. Patients should be aware of possible side effects, which include darkening of the iris of the eye, which is possibly permanent, and eyelid skin darkening, which may be reversible.
What to Expect when using Latisse
Patients should being to see changes in eyelash length first. Overtime, your lashes will begin to thicken and darken. Some patients will see results by week 8, but are advised to continue treatment until week 16 when full results are visible. After full results are apparent, patients should speak with Dr. Boyd about continued use.
How Long Does Latisse Last?
Latisse is not permanent, and will only last as long as you continue to use it.
