Belotero in the Skin
Belotero is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler that volumizes and moisturizes skin. Bolotero instantly plumps and adds volume to the area where volume has been lost. Depressions caused by age and experience may improve after a treatment with Belotero. Opting for a Belotero treatment, in Ann Arbor and Birmingham MI, with BOYD can create the complexion you desire.
How Belotero Works
Belotero is specially designed to integrate into your tissue. Belotero contains HA, or hyaluronic acid, to bolster skin appearance. HA, naturally lost as we age, can effect skin volume and plumpness. When injected with Belotero, the skin can be subtlety volumized and patients can experience a uniform complexion. Belotero should not overtly limit facial expressions or create a unnatural skin texture.
What areas does Belotero Treat?
Belotero can treate a variety of problem areas. As opposed to other skin options offered in Ann Arbor cosmetics, Belotero is most commonly used to treat medium to deep wrinkles and creases. The following areas can improve with Belotero:
- Lines around the nose and mouth
- Verticle line running above the lip
- Creases near the corners of the mouth
- Smile lines, or lines that run down from the mouth
- Creases and fine lines in the chin
All these areas may see improvement with a Belotero treatment. Dr. Boyd, during a skin assessment, can assess your appearance, talk about your desires, and determine if Belotero may improve problem areas.

If any complications do occur, patients are encouraged to contact their primary physician further instruction or information. Patients in the Birmingham and Ann Arbor areas may also contact Dr. Boyd.
The Results of Belotero
Once symptoms subside, added skin volume can be experienced for at least 6 months. The length of effects may be longer or shorter depending on a few different factors. Factors including the amount of gel injected, the areas addressed, and the amount of facial expression. Volume around the mouth, for example, may not last as long as an area of less movement; areas around the mid-face or nose. Once patients have opted for Belotero, they can expect Dr. Boyd to place injections for the best results.
