Gloss peel is used to treat severe textural, tone, acne scarring and the appearance of sun damage. It has a combination of 17% Trichloroacetic acid and 17% Salicylic acid in a phenol-free, anhydrous gel vehicle. This combination limits ionization of the free acids, which in turn means less pain and cellular injury associated with conventional TCA aqueous solutions. There is a requirement of four weeks in between each treatment.
Mélange Peel is used to improve texture, uneven skin tone and fine lines. Simple apply a cream masque along with an at-home regimen. Application of the masque causes no pain and irritation on following 3-4 days is like that of a sunburn. This treatment is typically received as little as twice a year with 6 months in between each treatment.
How does it work?
During an office visit, this masque is applied to the face and removed by the patient after the required amount of time. Mélange Peel is compounded fresh to ensure potency and reliability. Your doctor will discuss the amount of time required to leave the treatment on depending on your skin type. This treatment only takes a few minutes and patients will leave the office with the mask still on their face.
What results can I expect?
Most patients will experience superficial peeling of the skin; however, the benefits of the masque are still the same regardless if peeling is experienced or not. Your professional esthetician will discuss with you the predicted outcome of your treatment. Generally, patients will notice improvements in the appearance and texture of their skin.
