What Can I Expect During my Short-Scar Facelift?
Your short-scar facelift will be performed by Dr. Charles Boyd in our Birmingham office. For your comfort, we use local anesthesia. Dr. Boyd will begin by carefully making a few small incisions along the hairline and behind the ear. Through these incisions, he will be able to tighten any weak or loose facial muscles. The entire surgical procedure typically takes about two hours to complete.
What Can I Expect During my Short-Scar Facelift Recovery?
Following your mini facelift, you may experience tenderness, bruising, and swelling around your treated areas. This is normal and typically resolves on its own within the following few weeks. Most of our patients are able to return back to their normal daily activities, including work, about seven to ten days following their mini facelift procedure and make a full recovery within one to two months. Dr. Boyd will give you detailed post-operative care instructions prior to your mini facelift procedure to ensure a swift and easy recovery period. While you will be able to see some results of your mini facelift immediately following surgery, ultimate results will become visible once all swelling subsides, about four months later.
